Tree Plantation Ceremony

When you plant a tree, you don’t just plant a sapling but hope.

We have learned the hard way that trees are extremely important for our survival. Trees are the essential livestock of humankind and other living organisms. They have unconditionally provided us with food, oxygen, and many other necessities for human sustainability, such as shelter, medicines, tools, and many more. With such rich values and importance, trees still do not get treated properly.

On November 11, 2020, We successfully completed the event of Tree Plantation in our village Mudhalur. In this ceremony, tree saplings were planted together by our Aasan and our students of Shevalon Varmakalai. The objective of the campaign is to support the environment and climate literacy, by planting tree saplings and building awareness about clean energy.

On this day, Mango trees, Jackfruit trees, and Herbal tree saplings were planted.

A fence has been erected around each tree to secure the planted trees from goats and cows. Planted trees are maintained daily by shevalon Varmakalai students. Students also pledged that they would take care of the saplings.
