Shevalon Varmakalai was successfully unveiled on May 31st, 2019, with the blessings of Chief Varmakalai Aasaan Thiru S. Gopalakrishnan (Aadhisakthi Varmakalai, Coimbatore). Varmakalai Aasaan P.Blesswin, our founder, teaches Varmakalai martial arts, Varmakalai treatment, bone fracture treatment, and several other Tamil traditional arts and medicine, as well as providing tamil traditional treatment with the blessings of nature.
Varma Kalai is an Indian traditional art of vital points. It originated in present-day Kanyakumari Tamil Nadu. It combines massage, alternative medicine, traditional yoga and martial arts in which the body’s pressure points ( varmam ) are manipulated to heal or cause harm.
Martial Arts is a centered on knowledge of the major nerves, or points of the body. These include body language and fighting with weapons. Varma is an art that originated in the Tamil tradition. It was started based on the Tamil medical science called Varma Sutra and later developed into a martial art.

A person will lose consciousness if certain nerves in the body, in certain places, are touched to a certain extent. Varma will be planted in those specific places. The vertebrae or nerves, joints, ligaments, muscles or organs, are the living entities that stand in 108 places in the body to function smoothly.

We also teach traditional martial arts such as silambam, flexible long sword, and sword fight, as well as body strengthening exercises, Forms, Hit & Block, Varmakalai lock & Throw, Etc. Specialized training is provided for women. Under the gurukulam system we teach students Varmakalai Treatment method, herbal medicine, and bone fracture fixing. We regularly plant fruit and herbal trees along roadsides with the participation and support of students
